Ian, Esther, Grandma- Memorial Day 2008
Beautiful weather & longer days have made life go by a little faster lately! Set aside all the indoor projects and save them for a rainy (or snowy) day! April & May included birthdays (Esther's, Ian's, & Kelly's), putting in a yard, & getting a much-anticipated visit from "Farm" Grandpa & Grandma. Kelly did an awesome job on our yard, complete with rock stairs to our deck, underground sprinklers, & instant grass (sod).
While Mom & Dad were out over Memorial Day, Kelly & Dad tackled projects like putting a deer fence around our garden (we actually had a moose in our yard this past week) & putting up our clothesline from Kelly's Grandpa. Mom & Dad also shared a bunch of their raspberry bushes with us, so we now have our very own raspberry patchJ! Two mornings, Kelly & I sneaked out early and went for a bike ride together while the grandparents and kids slept in. It was so refreshing to do something fun together without having to pack along the diapers, wipes, snacks, extra clothes, etc! They truly blessed our socks off!
April & May also brought new neighbors down the easement road that crosses our property. For those of you who know our experience with our neighbors last year, this is a true answer to prayer & a blessing from God! Our kids love to play together & I love having a kindred spirit just "next door"!
